Tristar-mot is a simple motorised system 
The THP-MOT powerpack supplied with tristar-mot system operates on three phase.
The control 'forward' and 'reverse' is on the THP-MOT powerpack. The thd drive operator doing the expansion must judge whether the tube has been sufficiently expanded and signal the powerpack operator to stop and reverse. 

Tristar auto is a full fledged automatic system . The THP-AUTO power pack supplied with tristar-auto system is electronically controlled. The control for 'forward' and 'reverse' is on the thd drives in the form of push-buttons. 
The thd-drive operator doing the expansion on the THP-AUTO powerpack before starting the expansion job. Adjustments are simple for any operator and once set, need no further adjustments . After the required expansion is achieved , the drive stops automatically and the operator reverses the drive to complete the expansion.
